Contact Lens Fitting

We provide complete contact lens fitting and dispensing services. We supply and fit cosmetic contact lenses that correct for nearsightedness, farsightedness. Contact lenses also have therapeutic uses, and contacts for a medical diagnosis are prescribed as well.

Dry Eye Assessment

Dry eye syndrome is an extremely common ocular condition, affecting a significant proportion of the population. Patient’s with dry eye syndrome are commonly told that there is nothing that can be done or that it is ‘normal for their eyes’, and are often only given artificial tear eye drops as a treatment option. Here at Eye Academy, we understand the frustration and inconvenience that dry eye causes, therefore we offer a large variety of treatment options in order to effectively manage the dry eye symptoms of each individual.

Symptoms of dry eye syndrome can include:

  • Tired eyes, particularly by the end of the dry
  • Blurred vision which improves on blinking or rubbing the eyes

Fundus Photography

Fundus photography involves capturing a photograph of the back of the eye i.e. fundus. Specialized fundus cameras that consist of an intricate microscope attached to a flash enabled camera are used in fundus photography.
